Good health has many benefits, not least of which is feeling better physically, mentally and emotionally. When we take ownership of our health we also see that we use our health insurance less and take less medication. We are actually saving money.

Increasing your fitness level

Did you know that any type of body movement can be considered exercise? Here are a few examples: try sitting down- then getting up for three sets of 20; push yourself up out of your chair, using your arms only; walk up and down five flights of stairs, five times. Ideally, five minutes of every 15 minute break you should be devoted to some type of nonstop exercise.

Taking a closer look at nutrition

Read food labels! A general rule of thumb is that if you can’t pronounce the name of the ingredient, then it’s not healthy to eat. Good nutrition is based on whole fresh foods that are untreated or unchanged by chemicals. Think organic!

Synergy partners with The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

Synergy hosts its First Annual Ladies’ Only Tennis Tournament Invitational. Held at Courtside Club, Los Gatos, California Synergy employees and clients played side-by-side in a fun, non-competitive tennis match. Brett Stephenson, owner of Executive Wellness Services provided tennis racquets and pink tennis balls to play with. All attendants were provided goodie bags to leave with and enjoyed a light lunch on the viewing deck where our keynote speaker, Pam Judd spoke of breast cancer awareness, and volunteering at the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Women were able to relax in beautiful weather while enjoying complimentary massages. Synergy was able to raise over $10,000 for the foundation.
